This CEU activity is designed for college instructors teaching in the field of sign language, sign language interpreting, or deafness.
To earn CEUs for teaching, the course must be taught within your current certification cycle. CEUs for teaching a course may be awarded only after the course is complete and only once per course per certification cycle, regardless of how many times the course is taught.
CEU Conversation:
1 credit = 1.5 PS CEUs
2 credits = 3.0 PS CEUs
3 credits = 4.5 PS CEUs
4 credits = 6.0 PS CEUs
5 credits = 7.5 PS CEUs
6 credits = 0.9 PS CEUs

Analyze the effectiveness of the course
Describe instructional approaches used to support different learning styles
Discuss possible improvements to the course
Reflect on how this course contributed to your growth as an interpreter
This Professional Studies program is offered for a minimum of 1.5 CEUs at the little/no Content Knowledge Level. Target Audience is interpreters and aspiring interpreters. Activity Code FRC26.045

STEP 1: Teach a semester-length college course. The course must be about sign language, sign language interpreting, or Deaf culture.
STEP 2: Upload documentation in the Google Form and answer 4 reflection questions on the course.
Documentation includes:
Course syllabus with the college name, course name, instructor name, course number, term and year, and number of credits
Activities or lesson plan for each class meeting
Verification from the college or university, such as a copy of an official teaching schedule or a letter from the department chair or dean
Before beginning, you may want to review the questions in advance.
The form must be fully completed to earn CEUs. Forms with missing documentation or reflections can be resubmitted.
STEP 3: Purchase CEU processing at any time. Cost includes CEU processing and a Certificate of Completion. All sales are final.
Important: The Google Form and CEU purchase will both ask for your RID number and last name. These must match the RID registry exactly, or your CEUs cannot be processed.
