In 2022, life threw me a curveball. I had a life-altering illness. I never fully recovered and had to give up interpreting.

Most days I’m couch-bound, carefully pacing my energy just to manage the basics—feeding myself and my cats, and keeping my job as an interpreter educator.

​

Books, documentaries, and online rabbit holes keep me sane. Even when my body can't function, my mind can still learn. And the teacher in me wants to share the knowledge.

So I created Flat Rate CEUs.

​

This site is for people who:

• can’t easily travel to workshops or conferences

• don’t have extra money for expensive CEUs

• need the flexibility to learn at their own pace

​

Here’s how it works:

• activities are online and self-paced

• check out the activity in advance to see if it’s a good fit

• CEU processing is a low flat fee, making certification maintenance more affordable

Building this site helps make my chronic illness a little more bearable.
